Budapest Regional Centre Library Overview
The UN/ECE Budapest Centre Library is
a specialized reference centre for documentation on industrial accident prevention and
preparedness.
It provides services to researchers
and experts specialized in industrial accident prevention.
The Library has a collection of
specialized documentation of about 400 items, including books, reports, conference
proceedings, case studies, legal acts, national emergency plans, manuals, training
materials, etc. The Library receives on a regular basis up to 8 different periodicals,
newsletters, bulletins and journals per year.
The UN/ECE Budapest Regional Centre
Bibliographic Database is computerized that any user can access via Internet. It offers a
query language, which allows on-line retrieval of information. Standard queries can be
answered easily, (author, title, publisher, year of publication). The UN/ECE Budapest
Regional Centre has prepared a thesaurus of accident-related codes which are used as
selection criteria when searching for a document on a particular subject.
Laser print-outs or electronic mail
facilities will be used to forward the information upon request.
